On behalf of Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, Mayoral Aide Shroyria “Shay” Kraus united with local leaders and the community at Roger L. Putnam Vocational Technical Academy this weekend to support the community-based Public Safety Rally aimed at uniting our community and healing our streets.
The Accountability, Reconciliation, and Community Healing (ARCH) Institute along with the Darrell Lee Jenkins Jr. Resource Center joined to host this meaningful event and recognize mothers in our community who have lost children to gun violence and continue to turn their pain into purpose to advocate so that no mother or parent has to go through this, and if they do, they are not alone.
Mayoral Aide Shroyria “Shay” Kraus presented citations to mothers who have experienced this tremendous loss and commended their courage, extraordinary strength, resiliency, and continued commitment to Accountability, Reconciliation, and Community Healing (ARCH).
Mayor Sarno states, “Your journey reflects the true meaning of community-based public safety, where healing is centered, voices are uplifted, and love leads the way forward. On behalf of the residents of the City of Springfield, along with your family and friends, honor your courage and stand with you in love and community.”
