Chief of Staff Bill Baker on behalf of Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with Springfield’s Emergency Communications team at the Fire Dispatch Office on Friday afternoon to help recognize and celebrate National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week with our dedicated 911 dispatch team led by Deputy Chief Mike Hess and Deputy Director Rebecca Ocasio.
Mayor Sarno states, “The work that Deputy Fire Chief Hess, Deputy Director Rebecca Ocasio and our 9-1-1 dispatchers do is ‘front line’ critical and deeply appreciated in enhancing our public safety response and attack,” said Mayor Sarno. “It is right to celebrate their efforts in making our Springfield a better place to live and work. We thank you and your families for your sacrifice and commitment to working on the frontlines to help enhance our public safety response for our residents and business community.
