- Pizza Makers on Allen Street is Re-Opened – 7 Days a Week! -
Mayor Domenic J. Sarno was honored to join to celebrate the grand re-opening of neighborhood staple pizza spot, Pizza Makers, on Allen Street on Friday afternoon. The Mayor was thrilled to meet the new owner Derek Remy and team, who have re-opened the popular restaurant, located near the corner of Allen and Cooley Streets, that serves up pizza, calzones, grinders, salads, wings and more.
Mr. Remy has previously worked in local pizza shops and now, a father and a full-time registered nurse, he has been able to realize his longtime dream of opening his own pizza shop.
Mayor Sarno states, “Congratulations to owner Derek Remy and team on this exciting grand re-opening of a local favorite pizza shop. Derek’s love of serving others is truly amazing – not only has he been serving our community as a registered nurse (and still does, he worked last night!), he has now realized his dream of serving up delicious pizza at his own pizza shop. At Pizza Makers at 1836 Allen Street you can find all the classic dishes with pizza, calzones, grinders, dinner entrees, party trays, wings, soups, salads and more.
