Mayor Sarno continued with second day of FY27 budget hearings

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Chief Administrative and Financial Officer (CAFO) Cathy Buono continued the Mayor’s Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) budget hearings on Thursday afternoon.  Chief of Staff Bill Baker, Deputy CAFO Lindsay Hackett, and Budget Director Chris Fraser were also in attendance, along with City Councilors Brian Santaniello and Victor Davila, and joining remotely City Council President Tracye Whitfield, and City Councilors Zaida Govan and Justin Hurst.

City Department Heads presented their FY27 budget requests and responded to questions from Mayor Sarno, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and the media. Today, the Mayor heard from the Office of Internal Audit, the Mayor’s Office, Law Department, Human Resources & Labor Relations, and the Benefits Department.

Budget hearings began on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 and are expected to conclude Tuesday, March 24, 2026. The full budget hearing schedule is available on the city website. The hearings will take place at City Hall in the Mayor’s Conference Room (Room 205). The hearings are open to the public to attend. If you cannot attend in person, you may watch the budget hearings online. Budget hearings will resume Friday morning.
