Today, Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Executive Director of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management Tom Ashe and team joined at the Forest Park conference room for a bitter-sweet farewell celebration for Park Project Manager Chris Seabrooks, or as Mayor Sarno calls him – “The Artisté!” Seabrooks’ mom, our elegant and eloquent Health and Human Services Commission Helen Caulton Harris also made an appearance to thank Chris for his ongoing public service. Seabrooks, has served our city for six years and utilized his creative and artistic talents to design graphic art pieces including the graphics for the mural at Cyr Arena for Cheryl Clapprood, and the mural for the Travis Best basketball court at Central High School. You can also see Chris’s work on display on murals throughout the city in collaboration with Common Wealth Murals.
Mayor Sarno states, “Bittersweet, as we will miss having Chris here in the Parks Dept. However, he knows he always has a home here Springfield. Thank you, Chris for your dedicated efforts and beautiful artistic contributions. We hope to continue to see your creative talents shine throughout our city.
