Mayor Domenic J. Sarno was happy to see the front door to the Mayor’s Office decked out for the holidays as departments throughout the city prepare for the Holiday Door Decorating Contest.
“I'm excited to see our city’s creative talent and to have some fun too,” stated Mayor Sarno. “My talented staff always enjoy working together on these fun city employee competitions that our Human Resources team runs for our employees throughout the city. There is no better way to break the pattern than with some friendly competition, which boosts morale. Congratulations and shout out to all the Bakers and Judges who participated in this year’s Baking Competition – Laura Walsh from Parks took home first place with her Cranberry White Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Luz Gonzalez from Benefits won 2nd place with her Strawberry Crunch Cookies. I am looking forward to seeing all the door decorations and ‘ugly sweaters’ later this month as the friendly competitions continue.
