Springfield, MA – Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, Congressman Richard E. Neal, and Parks Director Tom Ashe will join with Spirit of Springfield President Judy Matt, President of Florence Bank and Bright Nights Ball Honorary Chair Matthew Garrity, MGM Springfield President and COO Louie Theros, Charlie Arment and Charlie Arment Trucking, and many sponsors and supporters to bring greetings and thanks at the Spirit of Springfield’s Annual City of Bright Nights Ball.
The City of Bright Nights Ball is Springfield’s “social event of the year” with extravagant décor, a dinner of delicacies, live music for dancing, premier auction items, and lots of socializing with colleagues and friends. It is all to support the Spirit of Springfield’s mission to bring the community together in celebration. This year’s theme is Opera Noir.
Mayor Sarno states, “I want to thank Spirit of Springfield President Judy Matt, her dedicated team, the Spirit of Springfield Board of Directors, and all of the sponsors for everything they do to put together this wonderful and keynote event for our Springfield. Thank you to Louie Theros and his team at MGM for hosting us as we celebrate this special occasion.”
“This annual event helps keep our beloved Bright Nights lights shining for young and old, and keeps that endearing twinkle in their eyes,” shared the Mayor. “From the Pancake Breakfast, Fourth of July fireworks and events, the 911 Memorial ceremony, and more – you just can’t put a price tag on the morale boost this gives, not only to our City of Springfield, but far beyond.”
The City of Bright Nights Ball is the Spirit of Springfield’s largest annual fundraiser and supports the organization’s efforts to bring the community together in celebration with family friendly events like the World’s Largest Pancake Breakfast, Star Spangled Springfield, September 11th Remembrance Ceremony, military concerts, and Bright Nights at Forest Park.
