Annual College Fair to Welcome More than 60 Institutions at Springfield College

More than 60 colleges and universities from across the northeast, along with the armed services and local employers, will connect with Springfield Public Schools 11th grade students during a districtwide college fair on Wednesday, October 15th. The event, now in its third year, will be hosted at Springfield College’s Field House.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Sonia Dinnall  noted that the event underscores the district’s commitment to ensuring every student explores pathways that lead to opportunity and prosperity. Dinnall said Springfield College’s continued offer to host the event provides students a valuable introduction to a college campus.

“When our students step onto a college campus, they begin to see new possibilities for themselves,” said Dinnall. “Experiences like this give them the belief and confidence that higher education is within their reach.”

"Springfield College is proud to continue leading in service to others by creating opportunities for discovery and championing the transformative power of education,” said Springfield College President Dr. Mary-Beth Cooper. “In partnership with our campus community, Springfield Public Schools, and colleges across the region, we embrace our shared responsibility to open doors and empower students to pursue their limitless potential."

Representatives from a broad range of institutions and employers will be on hand to provide information, answer questions, and encourage students as they begin their college search and career exploration process.
