Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with the Sons and Daughters of Italy, as the 2025 Columbus Day Parade, Parade Marshall. After a 20-year hiatus, the Sons and Daughters of Italy have brought back the beloved tradition. Mayor Sarno marched alongside his cousin, Laura Bocchino.
Mayor Sarno states, “The Columbus Day Parade is back! A special shout out to Sal Circosta, Ray Catuogno, and the Sons and Daughters of Italy, who have worked hard to bring back this long-standing Italian tradition in the City of Springfield, along with the Italian Feast, which was hosted back in July. A special congratulations, as well to the 2025 Columbus Day Queen, Stefania Liquori and her court, another tradition brought back by the Sons and Daughters of Italy. I am honored to be named as the 2025 Parade Marshall, and look forward to marching down Main Street, celebrating Italian Heritage.”
