Springfield’s Splash Pads turning off for the season

The City of Springfield Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management (PBRM) has announced that the splash pads at our city’s public parks will be turned off for the season on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

Over 20 of Springfield’s public parks, in neighborhoods throughout the city, offer a splash pad for residents to enjoy during the summer, and are open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Now with the start of school, and cooler weather, the splash pads will be off for the season. They will be turned on again at the end of the next school year. Please remember that splash pads are turned off; not broken, or stuck. The city and PBRM team will share when they are being turned back on and ready to enjoy.
