Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with city officials and members of the NBA security team today for a traffic planning and logistics meeting as the 2025 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony once again comes to Springfield, the birthplace of Basketball. The 2025 Enshrinement Ceremony will be held in Springfield on Saturday, September 6, 2025
Mayor Sarno states, “We are excited that the annual Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement ceremony will once again highlight our City of Springfield. This world-class event will celebrate the careers of some of the best basketball players and coaches in the sport. There’s many exciting festivities happening that weekend for Enshrinement, as well as the annual law-enforcement Ride-to-Remember. We will share more on specific traffic arrangements as the events approach. I want to thank our dedicated city team, our brave and dedicated Springfield Police Officers who help direct vehicle traffic during these busy hours, and everyone for their patience and understanding.”
