MayorSarno states, “I always look forward to joining with our brave and dedicated men and women of the Springfield Police Department, our neighborhood councils, and our residents, businesses and community supporters for our National Night Out events across the city.  I commend and thank Police Superintendent Larry Akers and our entire SPD as well as our Fire Department, Parks Department, Hampden County Sheriff’s Department under Sherriff Nick Cocchi and team, our friends at American Medical Response, and all who come together to make these annual events possible and something we all look forward to. This family-friendly event features food, music, entertainment and more that helps to bring our community together in support of community, neighborhood and police relations.  So come on out and enjoy everything there is to do as we stand together as a community against crime in our beloved city.”
