Mayor Domenic J. Sarno announced today that he has appointed Clinton Harris of Springfield to the Board of Police Commissioners. Harris is replacing Norman Roldan who resigned effective June 30, 2025. Harris will serve out the remainder of that term, which expires on April 1, 2027.
Harris is a retired Commander and Sergeant of the Hampden County Sheriff’s Department where he served with honor and distinction for twenty-eight (28) years. Throughout his career he had worked alongside various law enforcement and public safety agencies including the United States Marshalls Office, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and State and Local law enforcement agencies. Additionally, Harris has a strong background in behavioral health.

I am happy to welcome Clinton Harris to our Board of Police Commissioners. Clinton is a person of high character, integrity and is well-respected in our community. He brings a unique perspective to the table, especially when it comes to his experience working with the Sheriff’s Department and in Behavioral Health. I have the full confidence in his abilities to serve our community and our Springfield Police Department.”
