Mayor Sarno and City Officials Meet with Kristin Neville, Evan Plotkin, and Blues to Green team to Discuss Plans for Upcoming 2025 Springfield Jazz & Roots Festival

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, DPW Director Chris Cignoli, Fire Commissioner BJ Calvi, Deputy Fire Chief Bob McCaffrey and members of the Fire Department, Licensing Director Attorney Alesia Days, Deputy Police Chief David Martin members of SPD, Parks Director Tom Ashe, Deputy Parks Director Peter Krupczak, Park Coordinator Tom Dougal, Health and Human Services Director of Emergency Preparedness and Response Tony Pettaway, Springfield Parking Authority Facilities Manager Daniel Baro, Chief Development Officer Tim Sheehan, and Mayoral Aide Shenell Ford joined for a meeting on Monday afternoon with Blues to Green Board Members and Jazz & Roots organizers Kristin Neville, Evan Plotkin, Vanessa Ford, Andrew Cade, Ray Barry, Kyle Homestead, Scott and Regina Jenkins to discuss plans for the 2025 Jazz and Roots Festival in the City of Springfield down at Stearns Square by our Worthington Street ‘Restaurant Row’ on July 11th and 12th 2025.

Mayor Sarno states, “Our beloved Jazz and Roots Festival is a wonderful, high-energy and family friendly event that showcases the beautiful mosaic and diversity of our city with some wonderful musical talents. This marque event draws thousands of people from all over Western Massachusetts and beyond. I want to thank Kristin Neville, Evan Plotkin and their team, especially all of the benefactors, for their continued belief, support and dedicated efforts in keeping this Festival going strong. This year’s Springfield Jazz and Roots Festival will once again showcase the power of music to bring people together in unity and harmony at our entertainment and dinning districts.
