Mayor Domenic J. Sarno was proud to show photographer Don Treeger today that Don’s award winning 1992 photo title “Can Scan” now hangs in the Mayor’s Office.
Mayor Sarno states, “Back in 1992 when I first saw this fantastic photo shot with squirrel munching on a pumpkin while the cat watches from behind the window, I told ’Donny’ he was going to win an award for that photo, and he did. Now, three decades later, we are celebrating Don’s retirement. Last week, as I was reminiscing on this very photo when Don handed me this framed copy. It is one of my favorites of Don’s numerous great photos and we are honored to have it now hanging here in the Mayor’s Office. Don, wishing you a happy and healthy retirement and a joyous New Year, too!”
