Mayor Domenic J. Sarno was honored to be gifted a handmade blue knitted prayer shawl from The Prayer Shawl Ministry at the St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Springfield.
Mayor Sarno states, “I was so touched by this beautiful handmade gift from our friends at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. It warmed my heart to read the special meaning, and that it was knitted in groups of three and was blessed at the altar of the Cathedral. The little things that mean a lot, and a good reminder that there is much we can overcome with faith. I am so grateful to those who took the time to knit and send along this truly beautiful prayer shawl and message. I pray that all have a happy and health holiday season and a joyous prosperous New Year.”
