The City of Springfield Department of Public Works (DPW) would like to notify residents that there will be no collection of trash, yard waste, recycling or bulk item materials on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 due to the Christmas Holiday and Wednesday, January 1, 2025 in observance of New Year’s. Residents normally scheduled for trash, recycling and yard waste on Wednesday, December 25th will have their items picked up on Saturday, December 28, 2024. Those schedule for collection on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 will have their picked up on Saturday, January 4, 2025.
The Solid Waste Division reminds residents to place their items on the curb by 6:00 a.m.

DPW will begin the collection of Christmas trees starting Tuesday, January 7, 2024 and will continue through Friday, January 31, 2024. Christmas Trees will be collected on your scheduled recycling day.
