Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, Fire Commissioner B.J. Calvi, and members of the Springfield Fire Department hosted a promotional ceremony and badge pinning for one Captain, three Lieutenants, and one repair division Supervisor.
Mayor Sarno states, “Congratulations to the newly promoted brave and dedicated members of the Springfield Fire Department. These promotions are well-deserved and earned. On behalf of the city of Springfield, thank you and your families for your continued service to our Springfield community. We deeply appreciate your bravery and efforts. We must always remember and never forget that when everyone else is running out of that building, you are running in to save lives. Thank you and Godspeed.”
Promoted to Captain was Lt. Angel Caquias.
Promoted to Lieutenants were Firefighter Brendan Shea, Firefighter David Lapalm, and Firefighter Patrick Drummond.
Promoted to Repair Division Supervisor was Anthony Cassesse.
