Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with School Superintendent Dr. Sonia Dinnall, Chief of Family & Community Engagement Jose Escribano, and the New North Citizens Council for a special Back to School Party at the Roberto Clemente Field. The event, hosted by the New North Citizens Council, offered free backpacks and school supplies for students and families in our North End neighborhood.
Mayor Sarno states, “Superintendent Dr. Sonia Dinnall and I want to thank Chief of Family & Community Engagement Jose Escribano and the team New North Citizens Council, especially Executive Director Maria Ligus and Chief Operating Officer Jose Claudio, for their continued belief and support of our students and families in our North End neighborhood. This family-friendly event at the Roberto Clemente Field, helps support our students and families as they gear up for the start of the school year. I enjoyed meeting many students and families who are excited for the upcoming school year. Thank you to all the departments and partner agencies for being there and sharing your resources.”
