Mayor Domenic J. Sarno congratulated Central High School Golden Eagles hoop star Julie Bahati on winning the prestigious Vi Goodnow Award as the most outstanding Western Mass player.
Mayor Sarno stated, “I am very proud of you Julie. You’re a great role model both on and off the court. Your award continues the strong tradition of basketball excellence at our Central High School – ‘The Home of Scholars and Champions’. Good luck in the State Tournament and continued success both on and off the court. See you at the game.”
Bahati is the eighth Central High School girls’ basketball player to win this prestigious award and the first since 2020.
