Contingent of Springfield Police Officers to Attend Wednesday Memorial Services for Massachusetts State Police Trooper Tamar Bucci

The Springfield Police Department will be sending a contingent of officers to Revere on Wednesday, March 9 to honor the life of Massachusetts State Police Trooper Tamar Bucci.

Memorial services are being held Tuesday and Wednesday at Saint Anthony's Church in Revere. A wake and law enforcement walk-by takes place Tuesday, and a funeral mass will be held Wednesday. 

Springfield Police officers will travel to Revere Wednesday to attend the funeral services and pay their respects to Trooper Bucci, as well as show support for her family and her brothers and sisters with the State Police. 

Media availability will be held at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday at Springfield Police headquarters, before officers depart for Revere at 7 a.m. The officers will be transported provided by King-Gray Coach Lines who donated their bus for the funeral. 

Trooper Bucci was killed in the line of duty on March 3. She was 34 years old and graduated from the State Police Academy in 2020. She was assigned to State Police-Medford.
