Sculptures from New York based artist, Don Gummer, will be on display through the week at Pynchon Park. They will then be moved to the Quadrangle at the Springfield Museums through September 12th! Come check them out at the newly renovated Pynchon Park, accessible from Chestnut Street, Dwight Street, and Bruce Landon Way.
This exhibit—assembled exclusively for the Springfield Museums—explores work from throughout Gummer’s long and auspicious career and includes a 2021 wall relief sculpture that has never been seen by the public before. These soaring sculptures will activate the outdoor space in Pynchon Park as well. Fun fact: Don Gummer is married to actress Meryl Streep.
