Mayor Sarno Continues with FY22 Budget Hearings

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Chief Administrative and Financial Officer (CAFO) TJ Plante continued with the Mayor’s Fiscal Year 2022 (FY22) budget hearings today. Throughout this week, city Department Heads will be presenting their FY22 budget requests and will respond to questions from Mayor Sarno and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Budget hearings are scheduled to conclude Friday, April 9th, 2021.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the public budget hearings are being held virtually in partnership with Focus Springfield.  Those departments having a budget hearing today included:  Health and Human Services, TJO Animal Control, Elder Affairs, Library, Veterans Services, Police, and Fire/Emergency Communications.

Assistant Danielle Witherspoon, Police Commissioner Cheryl Clapprood, SPD Captain Jeff Martucci, SPD Director of Business and Technology Jennifer Leydon, SPD Budget Director Lisa Willis, Fire Commissioner BJ Calvi, SFD Deputy Chief David Wells, SFD Deputy Chief Michael Hess, SFD Deputy Director of Emergency Communications Rebecca Ocasio, SFD Director of Finance Erica Floyd, and Budget Analysts Hamediah Mohammed, Sean Pham, and Chris Fraser.
