Mayor Sarno and Family Join with Springfield Community in Offering Signs of Hope and Solidarity with those Working on the Frontlines

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and family, wife Carla and daughters Cassandra and Chiara, show their support for our healthcare professionals and all frontline personnel during the fight against COVID-19 (Coronavirus) by decorating their front door with hearts and words of encouragement.

Joining Mayor Sarno are city residents John and Mary Ann Baker who have displayed a homemade blue ribbon of hope around their tree with a sign reading “have faith”.  The Baker’s granddaughters also join this expression of solidarity by displaying hearts on their front door.

Mayor Sarno is asking all city residents and businesses to join together in this act of solidarity by displaying blue ribbons of hope and/or hearts on the doors to show support for our health care professionals and frontline personnel during these challenging times.

Mayor Sarno stated, “These blue ribbons and hearts remind not only our essential workers on the frontlines, but our friends, family, neighbors, and entire community that we will get through this, for the better as one!”
