Mayor Sarno meets with community leaders and local, state, and federal officials to help our brothers and sisters from Puerto Rico, who are now unfortunately once again displaced by the recent earthquake.

Mayor Sarno meets with community leaders and local, state, and federal officials and representatives today to help coordinate and prepare aid and assistance, as we did during Hurricane Maria, for our brothers and sisters from Puerto Rico, who are now unfortunately once again displaced by the recent earthquake.

Those in attendance included; Mayoral Aide Mini Marrero, Election Commissioner Gladys Oyola, School Committee Member Maria Perez, Superintendent of Schools Dan Warwick and representatives from the Springfield School Department, Commissioner of Health and Human Services Helen Caulton-Harris, PBRM Executive Director Patrick Sullivan, Director of Governor Baker’s Western Massachusetts Office Patrick Carnevale,  Representatives from US Senator Markey and Warren’s Office, representative from Congressman Neal’s Office, representative from state Senator James Welch’s Office, representative from state Representative Jose Tosado’s Office, representatives from the Springfield Office of Housing, representatives from the Springfield Housing Authority, and representatives from New North Citizens Council.
