Mayor Sarno Again Requests Multimillion Dollar For-Profit Methadone Clinic Owners and Management, Property Owner and the Department of Public Health to Appear Before the South End Citizens Council, Inc.

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno has once again requested Mr. Gary Frankowski, Clinic Director of Habit OPCO Methadone Clinic, property owner and Department of Public Health to appear before the South End Citizens Council, Inc., City Officials, State Officials, Maple High/Six Corners Neighborhood Council and Forest Park Civic Association on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 6:15 p.m. at the South End Citizens Council, Inc. offices on their continued negative impact and disruption of quality of life issues to the residents and business community of said areas.

Mayor Sarno states, “We’ll see what excuse they use to not show up again. We’ve all rearranged our schedules and family aspects – they should do the same. I don’t want what’s happened in Boston’s ‘Methadone Mile’ to occur here in Springfield. I will continue to work with my Chief Development Officer Tim Sheehan and our City Council to amend our zoning ordinances and State Representative Carlos Gonzalez for legislation to gain local control over this issue.”
