Mayor Sarno Announces Police Union Votes to Ratify Contract

Friday, June 22, 2018

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno is pleased to announce that he’s just been notified by Human Resources & Labor Relations Director Atty. Bill Mahoney that Springfield Patrolmen and women Union Local 364 has voted to ratify a new four year labor contract.

Mayor Sarno said, “This is a historic contract that encompasses ‘the Big 4’ – body cameras, Narcan use, residency and a social media policy. This is good news for our taxpayers, residents, business community and our brave and dedicated ‘men and women in blue’ that a fair and respectful accord has been achieved. We will continue our proactive public safety initiatives to keep all our neighborhood and streets safe and clean.”

We look forward to getting this before our City Council for review and hopeful approval ASAP.
