Mayor Domenic J. Sarno’s Fiscal Year 2019 Budget Hearings Set to Begin

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Chief Administrative and Financial Officer (CAFO) Timothy J. Plante have released the following schedule for the Mayor’s Fiscal Year 2019 (FY19) budget hearings. City Department Heads are presenting their FY19 budget requests and will respond to questions from Mayor Sarno and the Office of Management and Budget.  Budget hearings begin on Monday, March 5th and conclude Monday, March 19th.

Mayor Sarno said, “Governing during the worst economic times since the Great Depression, I am very proud of our fiscal management. We have reaffirmed the highest bond ratings in our City’s history and have healthy reserves. We will continue to lead in an efficient, effective, strategic and compassionate way.”

T.J. Plante stated, “As we kick off our FY19 budget process, our goal is to maintain core services with an eye on fiscal sustainability. I look forward to working with the Mayor and department heads to craft a thoughtful budget that lives within our means and doesn’t mortgage the future.”

These hearings are open to the public. Please note that the schedule is subject to change. The hearing schedule is as follows:
