Today friends, family and colleagues gathered at City Hall for a party to recognize Kathy Brown for her more than 20 years at the Springfield Police Department as Community Police Liaison. Mayor Domenic J. Sarno presented a proclamation declaring today as “Kathy Brown Day” in the City of Springfield. Sergeant John Delaney discussed Kathy’s invaluable role as community liaison and how much she’ll be missed by the entire SPD. State Senator Jim Welch and Eduardo Cruz, representing State Representative Jose Tosado, presented citations from the MA Senate and House recognizing her many years of service. City Councilors Orlando Ramos, Kateri Walsh, and Mike Fenton also thanked Kathy for her time with the SPD and the Women’s Commission.
