Members of the Vietnamese community from Springfield and the surrounding region gathered on Jan. 31 at Cedars Banquet Hall to celebrate Vietnamese New Year (Feb. 8), known as Tết. Mayor Sarno and Representative Carlos Gonzalez attended the community event, where traditional dancers and singers performed, food was served, and local students were recognized for their achievements.
