The 30th Annual Black Heritage Flag Raising brought together members of the community to celebrate Black History Month. Speakers at the ceremony included Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, City Councilors Justin Hurst and Emcee Bud Williams, Senator James Welch, Representatives Benjamin Swan and Carlos Gonzales, and School Committee member Barbara Gresham. Dr. Alonzo Sheffield gave the keynote address and urged young listeners to learn about their history.
