Mayor Sarno Thanks the Springfield Rotary Club for Donating Vital PPE’s

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno continues to give thanks to everyone in our community for stepping up and providing much-needed PPE’s for dedicated City employees.

Members from the Springfield Rotary Club joined with Mayor Sarno, Police Commissioner Cheryl Clapprood and Fire Commissioner BJ Calvi at City Hall to donate 10,000 facemasks to the City of Springfield for our brave and dedicated men and women of the Police and Fire departments.

Mayor Sarno stated, “I want to thank Paul Lambert, John Perez President of the Springfield Rotary Club and all of their members for their continued leadership and generous donation of these vital and much needed masks.  These PPE’s will go immediately to our dedicated city employees so they can continue to do their jobs for our residents and business community.  I am deeply appreciative and thankful to Rotary Club and their leadership team for their generosity and compassion as we continue to work together to mitigate the spread of this COVID-19 Coronavirus.”

The Springfield Rotary Club also donated masks to the Springfield Libraries, Square One, the Gray House, and numerous other organizations as part of the Rotary Club’s Million Mask Challenge Tour.
