The DeBerry Park Project located next to the William N. DeBerry Elementary School has been a valuable and enjoyable recreation area. This park that has hosted many community functions and sporting events through out the years will now be renovated. This project is funded by a grant from the Urban Self Help Program.

Some of the highlights slated for construction and improvement are;

New basketball court with lighting

New 60’ softball field

New security lighting around the park

The grass areas that will be fully irrigated

New site amenities that will include a drinking fountain, benches and picnic tables.

Construction has begun on this important project and is slated to be finished in June of 2009.
