Through the hard-work and comittment of the Glickman School Principal, Faculty, Staff, students, PTA, Playground Committee, and the tireless efforts of Lois Smith, private fundraiser, $82,007 was raised for a much needed playground.  LA Fitness generously donated $25,000, the City contributed $35,000, and the PTA and Playground Committee raised $22,007 through fundraising events and numerous local businesses.

A significant percentage of Glickman's student population has physical disabilities.  So providing accessible fitness equipment was paramount in the design.  Glickman School's new playground will provide physical fitness and play opportunities to all students.
