Department of Capital Asset Construction and the Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management- Parks Division

Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 30§39M as amended and other applicable statutes. The estimated value of the contract is not to exceed $375,000.00.

Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on December 29, 2016, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Reclamation and repaving of Forest Park Tennis Courts. Work includes but is not limited to; Selective demolition, site work and preparation, earthwork, reclaim tennis court and drainage ditch, bituminous concrete paving of tennis court and drainage ditch area and other work as detailed on plans and specifications. Bidders will be required to pay Prevailing Wages whenever applicable. This project is subject to the City’s Responsible Employer Ordinance.

Site Visit: Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend a site visit scheduled for November 22, 2016, on site at Forest Park at 2:00 P.M.

Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available for pick-up in person at the Office of Procurement or through the City’s website at www.springfieldcityhall.com for no charge.

Al questions must be submitted in writing and sent to the Office of Procurement in order to be considered. All questions must be in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than 11/24/16 at 4:30 P.M. in order to be considered. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.
