11-002 - Vacant Lot Clean Up & Board and Secure for the City of Springfield

End date: Thursday July 8, 2010 at 2 p.m.

The Contract shall be a Unit Price Agreement with a "Not-To-Exceed Fixed Amount" of One Hundred Thousand Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) for the calendar period between August 1, 2010 and July 31, 2010. The Contract shall be awarded for a one year period and may include two (2) one-year ($150,000.00) extensions at the discretion of the City of Springfield. The City of Springfield reserves the right, prior to the contract award, to determine the length of the initial contract term and option for renew, if any.

The contract or services detailed within may be awarded to more than one bidder at the sole discretion of the City of Springfield. In addition the City of Springfield reserves the right to award portions, or all, of the contract.

All Vendors shall comply with the Employment Requirements and the Minimum Prevailing Wage as set forth by the Massachusetts Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development Division of Occupational Safety and the Division of Capital and Asset Management for their trade.

Questions regarding the IFB may be submitted in writing to the Office of Procurement. In order to provide prompt answers to questions, the Office of Procurement requests that all Bidders submit written questions ten days prior to the IFB response deadline. Accordingly, questions must be received in writing only at the City of Springfield's, Department of Purchase on July 2, 2010 by 4:00 P.M. Questions may be faxed or mailed. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
