271 - RFP: Supplemental Educational Services Software Solution

The student information system used by the district is SASI. Currently SES management, tracking, and reporting are done manually and with use of Excel spreadsheets.

The City of Springfield Public Schools is seeking the services of a qualified vendor for the implementation of a Supplemental Educational Services software solution. The City of Springfield desires this to be a turnkey installation and expects the vendor to include provisions for coordinating the hardware and software installation, establishing an interface with SASI, deploying the storage solution, migrating data, and overall project coordination/management. The vendor must also supply post-implementation software support and training to SPS personnel for maintaining the system.

Vendor solution should be web based and designed to collect and manage Supplemental Educational Services program data. The vendor solution would provide a linkage for administration and school personnel to supplemental service providers.

The estimated cost of this RFP is $48,000.00 yr. This proposal covers a three year time period. The first time period is from January, 2009 through August 31, 2009.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Department of Purchase at least ten business days prior to bid opening.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts.

The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
