Fiscal Year 2017 Budget

We are pleased to present the Fiscal Year 2017 Adopted Budget. This budget, adopted on June 6, 2016 by Springfield City Council, totals $616.8 million and represents a 3.7% increase over the FY16 Adopted Budget. For the second year in a row, the City has balanced its budget without the use of stabilization reserve funds. The adopted budget also includes no layoffs or reductions in services. As the new fiscal year rolls in, the City remains committed to its core mission and values while remaining fiscally responsible. This budget reflects these goals, budgeting for strategic investments in vital areas such as public safety, education, and economic development.
