HOME RESIDENTS BUSINESS LEISURE GOVERNMENT EN ESPAÑOL

City Web Site will be offline Friday afternoon

The city's public web site will be taken offline for maintenance for 1-2 hours during the afternoon of Friday, December 5, 2008. During this time, the public will see a basic web page with links to the online services which will NOT be affected, including:

  • online payment of taxes, fees and parking tickets,
  • GIS mapping
  • Library card services, catalogue, calendar and reference chat
  • Schools web sites

All other public web site information and services will be unavailable during this time, including real estate and tax payment history lookups. All sites hosted on city servers will be offline, including but not limited to Police, Fire, Library main site, Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Adoption Center, DPW, Planning, Parks and Barney Carriage House.

All services will be restored by the close of business Friday.

While the IT Department strives to avoid system down time during the business day, implementation of this new system requires the assistance of a contractor who is not available after hours. As part of this system upgrade, a backup copy of these web servers will be created which should preclude the need for down time in the future.

We appreciate your patience as we work to improve your web site.
