Springfield MA - On June 17, 2010, The KISS organization, in conjunction with Am B Care Ambulance Service and Fat Cats, will present The “Fools” and the Springfield Public Schools Idol Finals at Stearns Square. The event will include three teacher performances.

The “Fools,” one of Boston’s greatest party bands, well known for bike week performances, have been on tour with some of rock’s legends for years, opening for such renowned acts as The Doobie Brothers, Rush, J Geils, Jefferson Starship, Blondie, The Knack, Van Halen, Toto, The Joan Jet, Steppenwolf, Rick Derringer, The Ramones, The Motels, Los Lobos,  Cheap Trick, Motorhead, Peter Gabriel, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes and more.

The Springfield Public School Idol Finals will be the culmination of three months of auditions and a semi final event hosted by the National Basketball Hall of Fame. The finals will consist of twenty contestants who have already beaten out hundreds of other students, and will vie for the title of the Springfield Public School Idol.

6:00 pm Springfield Teacher, Cate Therrien performs with The Lin Preston Band

6:35 pm Springfield Teacher, Lisa Treanor performing solo guitar and vocals

7:30 pm The Fools

10: 00 pm East Longmeadow Teachers Band - 1ZZ0 at Fat Cats

Admission is free. Alcohol and food will be served on premise. Proper ID Required

The Kiss Day organization is a non-profit organization operating under the authority of the Springfield Public School Volunteers, 501C3. Proceeds from the Stearns Square event will be donated directly to The Springfield Public School Volunteers.
