Tuesday's Nor'easter: Updates & Announcements

The Springfield Department of Public Works announces that due to the intensity of tomorrow’s Nor’easter, trash and recycling pick-up will be cancelled. Tuesday routes will be picked up this Saturday, March 18th; please have trash and recycling at the curb no later than 6:00 a.m.

DPW Director Chris Cignoli recommends that residents who have personal or medical appointments tomorrow which require travel to make alternate arrangements given the amount and intensity of the snow.

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno will be holding a press conference today with Emergency Preparedness Director Bob Hassett and Departments Heads to give updates, information and announcements pertaining to the pending Nor’easter. The announcements will be given today at 4:00 p.m. in the Emergency Operations Center at the Raymond M. Sullivan Safety Complex, located at 1212 Carew Street.
