HOME RESIDENTS BUSINESS LEISURE GOVERNMENT CALENDAR

On May 27, 2015 the City of Springfield was awarded a federal Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) in the amount of $728,878 for Firefighter Breathing Apparatus and Fire Officer Training.   

Round 6 of the 2014 Assistance to Firefighters Grants was awarded on Friday, May 29, 2015.

There are 76 - 2014 AFG awards nationwide with a total federal share of $19,003,918.00.

There are 11 – AFG awards this week in Region 1:

Maine 

  • Danforth, ME – Federal share of $90,668 for Firefighter Protective Gear and Breathing Apparatus.
  • Bar Harbor, ME. – Federal share of $85,720 for Firefighting Equipment, Protective Gear and Wellness & Fitness.
  • Jefferson, ME – Federal share of $169,524 for Firefighter Breathing Apparatus

 Massachusetts 

  • Boston MA - Emergency Medical Services – Federal share of $302,469 for Power Assist Stretchers.
  • Highland Ambulance, Goshen, MA – Federal share of $24,239 for a CPR Device.
  • Westhampton, MA – Federal share of $15,429 for Firefighter Protective Gear.
  • Springfield, MA – Federal share of $728,878 for Firefighter Breathing Apparatus and Fire Officer Training
  • Malden, MA – Federal share of $272,964 for Firefighter Breathing Apparatus
  • Ipswich, MA – Federal share of $10,596 for Firefighting Equipment
  • MA Firefighting Academy – Federal share of $260,870 for Training Simulator (2)

Rhode Island 

  • Harrisville, RI – Federal share of $11,315 for Firefighter Helmets.
