MAYOR DOMENIC J. SARNO APPOINTS ATTORNEY MARY E. MCNALLY AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE SPRINGFIELD PARKING AUTHORITY
May 9, 2014 -Springfield, MA- Mayor Domenic J. Sarno announced today that he has appointed Attorney Mary E. McNally as the new Executive Director of the Springfield Parking Authority (SPA).
Mayor Domenic J. Sarno stated “It is my pleasure to announce Attorney Mary McNally as the new Executive Director of the Springfield Parking Authority. Mary brings a wealth of experience with her from the Hampden County District Attorney’s Office as well as serving as the previous SPA Board Chairwomen.” Mayor Sarno went on to say, “Attorney McNally has played a pivotal role in the turnaround in the operations of the authority. I look forward to working with her in an increased capacity as we continue to utilize the SPA as an economic development tool in downtown Springfield.”
Attorney Mary E. McNally has most recently served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer in the Hampden District Attorney’s Office under District Attorney Mark G. Mastroianni. In addition, Attorney McNally was appointed in 2010 as Chairwoman of the Springfield Parking Authority by Mayor Domenic J. Sarno. During her tenure she has overseen the re-financing of authority debt, institution of the SPA Capital Improvement Plan and SPA funded Downtown Security Plan. Previously Attorney McNally operated a Springfield based law practice for 27 years
Attorney Mary E. McNally stated,” “I am pleased to be named the Executive Director of the Springfield Parking Authority. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute and engage the Authority in the growing economic development renaissance in the City and to serve the residents and businesses of our great City.”
Springfield Parking Authority Chairman Al Chwalek stated, “Mary, as Chairwomen, has done a great job leading the Parking Authority thru the last two transformative years. Now, as the new Executive Director she is poised to partner the Authority with several major projects in the City.”
Attorney Mary E. McNally, a Springfield resident, is a graduate of Western New England School of Law as well as the College of Our Lady of the Elms. Attorney McNally’s B.A.R. admissions include the State of Massachusetts and the United States District Court.
