Luxe Burger Bar Now Open in Springfield
Mayor Sarno and City Officials Join Luxe Partners for Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Providence, RI – January 30, 2014 – Providence, RI-based Chow Fun Food Group is pleased to announce Luxe Burger Bar, located in the former visitor’s center at 1200 Hall of Fame Avenue in Springfield, MA, is now open for lunch and dinner. Partners and developers were joined by Domenic Sarno, Mayor of Springfield, Springfield City Council representative Orlando Ramos, and Massachusetts state senator Jim Welch for the official ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday. The Luxe experience begins with a selection of starters, including Philly Cheese Steak Egg Rolls filled with shaved steak, peppers, onions, and provolone cheese with chipotle ketchup ($8.59); Tuna Nachos: seared rare Ahi tuna, crispy wontons, seaweed salad, sweet soy, and wasabi aioli ($10.99); Eggplant Fries with tomato basil aioli ($6.99); and the All Star Stack, an appetizer sampler of six Hereford beef sliders with cheese, buffalo chicken wings, pimped cheese fries, and buffalo chips with buttermilk ranch dipping sauce and celery sticks ($17.99). Guests can also enjoy $1.00 Sliders at the bar weekdays from 3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Salads include My Big Fat Greek Salad: grape leaves, mixed greens, sweet peppers, kalamata olives, light feta cheese, ripe tomato, red onion, pepperoncini, cucumber, and light Greek dressing ($10.99); the Tossed Cobb: lemon grilled chicken, mixed greens, blue cheese, crisp smokehouse bacon, chopped egg, tomato, cucumber, and avocado ranch ($9.99); and Kale with toasted quinoa, cherry tomatoes, shaved parmesan and lemon-olive oil vinaigrette ($8.99).
Guests will be wowed when they have the opportunity to build their own burgers (starting at $8.99 with cheese, sauce, up to three toppings, and choice of side) to create one of thousands of combinations using the signature Luxe checklist. Ingredients include a choice of burger, from Wagyu beef and Ahi tuna to lean turkey and housemade vegan veggie and an endless array of buns, cheeses, and toppings to make each guest’s creation their very own.
But the offerings don’t stop there. Create your own mac n’ cheese with toppings like hickory smoked bacon, BBQ pulled pork, and buffalo chicken or enjoy a signature sandwich like the Crunchie Munchie: pretzel-crusted chicken breast with smoked bacon lettuce, tomato, and honey mustard sauce; the Umami: Ahi tuna steak with sesame soy glaze, ginger slaw, and cucumber wasabi mayonnaise; and Luxe’s signature Frankenstein Burger: four Gold Label burgers, two jumbo all beef hot dogs, four slices of smokehouse bacon and four slices of American cheese topped with Hereford chili and coleslaw on two buttered rolls and a double order of fries ($19.99). Anyone who finishes it wins a t-shirt!
The indulgences continue with a variety of hard shakes, like the S’mores with s’mores vodka, marshmallow vodka, toasted marshmallow, vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, and a graham cracker rim or the Twinkie™ Caramel with bourbon, Twinkies™, caramel sauce, and vanilla ice cream, or a house made dessert such as Marshmallow & Chocolate Bread Pudding with bourbon caramel sauce or Jumbo “Kitchen Sink” Cookie with chocolate chips, pretzels, toasted coconut, and potato chips, a la mode.
