Springfield DPW Issues Several Traffic Advisories

October 25, 2013 –Springfield, MA- The Springfield DPW has issued the following traffic advisories in Springfield for the next couple of weeks. Please beware of these locations and try to seek an alternate route. Your patience is appreciated while the work is completed.  

Tiffany Street Update

The preliminary work on Tiffany Street should be completed by mid-day tomorrow; Friday October 25, 2013, or possibly this evening, re-opening the road to traffic in both directions. The pavement will only be the base course, with Springfield Water Sewer Commission returning to the area over the next 2-3 weeks to do additional repairs / replacement. Once the water and sewer repair work is completed then the final layer pavement will go down. Traffic issues with SWSC work will be monitored on a day to day basis with alerts going out if needed.

Pine Street Paving

Palmer Paving will be milling Pine Street from Mill St to Central Street on Monday and Tuesday, October 28 and 29, 2013. When this is completed the utility companies will do some work over the next 2+/- weeks before a final paving date is set.

Fenimore Heights Paving Project

Palmer paving will be paving Cooper Street, Fenimore Street, Spikenard Street and Joan Street on Tuesday and Wednesday November 5 and 6, 2013.
