Mayor Charles v. Ryan; chief development officer David Panagore; and others will hold a press conference on Thursday. Oct. 25 at 2 p.m. to announce the start of demolition of the former Chapman valve manufacturing facility, located at 225 Goodwin St.

The press conference will take place on location.

The site has been vacant since 1997. It consists of 12 acres and a 135,000 square foot, steel frame building.
